Happy {Gluten-Free} Halloween!
Give your little ghouls and goblins a memorable night without food worries…
While some monsters and witches on October 31st may be frightful, candy can be downright scary for the 25 million Americans with gluten intolerance. Although Gluten-free products have become somewhat of a marketing buzz-word for the food industry, it does have its place in many people’s diets.
Common products that contain gluten are wheat, rye, barley, cross-contaminated oats, and gluten lurks in the most common candies. For those that are intolerant or sensitive to gluten, eating gluten may results in digestive distress, fatigue, rashes, or any number of unrelated symptoms. Whether you are parent of a gluten-intolerant child or would simply like to be a good neighbor during Halloween, here are some helpful tips.
Some Gluten-Free natural candies for Halloween:
• Crispy Cat bars ( my personal favorite)
• YummyEarth organic lollipops
• GoNaturally organic hard candies
• Tropical Source chocolate bars

Being a gluten-free parent or child shouldn’t put a damper on you or your child’s fun night out. There are many alternatives to your common candies and treats. Careful not to be tricked into eating the wrong candy!
To a safe and gluten-free Halloween,
Nick Garcia
